Are there installation contractors or tradespeople recommended or approved by WARCO?

The intended use and the substrate preparation required, including preparation of the formation level when constructing a patio, determine which trade is appropriate for installing WARCO floor coverings. There is no requirement to use either a certified installer or a partner contractor, and customers are free to choose a suitable local contractor.

For terraces, landscaping contractors, civil engineering contractors and road and footpath contractors are the principal trades. The same applies to garden paths, playgrounds and other external areas.

For balconies, roofing contractors, carpenters, joiners and metal fabricators may also be appropriate. The same trades may also be considered for roof terraces.

Floor layers, property maintenance providers and experienced multi-trade contractors often undertake simpler installation work. Some of these businesses sell WARCO floor coverings, while others regularly install them and take responsibility for the work themselves.

A tiler may install slabs made from rubber granules, provided that the contractor is familiar with resilient slab systems. Installation methods used for ceramic tiles cannot simply be applied to rubber slabs.

The product-specific installation instructions on the WARCO website provide the basis for laying the slabs. Substrate preparation, waterproofing and drainage should each be carried out by a contractor qualified in the relevant trade.
