Can field markings be applied to a rubber floor?
Line-marking paints designed for synthetic sports surfaces can also be applied to rubber granule tiles. The key requirement is that the coating remains permanently flexible, moving with the elastic surface rather than becoming brittle. Paints used to mark parking bays are equally suitable if they have this property. On porous rubber granule tiles, careful application and precisely positioned masking tape reduce the risk of frayed edges. A trial on an offcut helps establish the right application technique. Alternatively, the work can be entrusted to a contractor specialising in sports field marking.
