What is a tile layout plan?
A tile layout plan is a scale drawing of the area to be covered with tiles. It shows the tile grid, laying direction and required cuts.
The usual scale is 1:100, so one centimetre on the plan represents one metre in the actual area. The layout plan allows tile requirements and cutting waste to be determined more accurately, and different laying directions, laying patterns and colour combinations to be compared. It also provides an early indication of the eventual appearance and can prevent errors in area calculations and when ordering tiles and accessories.
For almost every WARCO floor covering, a digital tile layout plan can be created in the online shop. After the area dimensions have been entered, the programme suggests suitable laying patterns and automatically calculates the required number of tiles.
